Mini

Neil Duerden
Neil Duerden has done work for a range of car companies, I like the colourful, illustrative approach that he brings to his work.
Below, this could be a cool idea, creating a template much similar to this and getting people to customize their own, it could take the form of a questionnaire or something. Below are a few examples of the extent that people go to to customize their own personal MINIs. I could really go to town with this brief! I am going to use this MINI and take it into Illustrator so that i can create a simple template for an outline of the MINI Cooper. Mini Cooper painted by the artist Alan Aldridge, a graphic designer known for his work in the 1960s on album covers and posters. Range of customized mini coopers by 'the cool hunter', these designs are really cool and funky and really capture my target audience and tone of voice! I have seen this model on the road before, I think this is quite a popular model. A lot of the artwork for customizing is placed on the roof of the car.
Placing design in different contexts. The Paul Smith customized car, although this is the old shape MINI it is still very cool and shws that the design can be placed in many different contexts such as handbags like shown above.
Range of cars available from MINI... Mini logo Layout of website, this shows indication of different colour varieties that are available. This section of the website informs people of the massive variety of possible combinations of customising that you can do to your MINI, this is cool how they have done it here but i think it needs images, pictures can create amazing things with peoples minds.
Mini website: Selections taken from the website, overall look is very masculine, quite simple and communicates message clearly. I like the use of line drawings on the left, I could develop on this further or follow a whole new path for the MINI brand. The basic colour palette seems to be black, white and then a primary colour so it is quite limited.
